Tour in ENGLISH | At the foot of Mount Royal: from Jeanne-Mance Park to McGill's sports campus

From August 15 to October 25, 2026, Heritage Montreal invites the public to the newest edition of ArchitecTours. In this 50th anniversary year of the Montreal Olympic Games, join our volunteer guides to discover the sometimes spectacular, sometimes unknown heritage of the sporting facilities of the city. For over 150 years, Mount Royal Park has been a playground for a wide variety of sports enthusiasts. Skiing, cycling, snowshoeing, marathon running, golf, and many other sports have shaped a culture of recreation deeply rooted in the history of the city. From Jeanne-Mance Park to the long recreational tradition on McGill campus and its trailblazing sports installations, join us in discovering the richness of this area. Starting point: Corner of Mont-Royal O and de L’Esplanade (15 min walk from métro Mont-Royal) End point: Near the corner of avenue des Pins and Parc Please note: this tour ends far from its starting point. PRACTICAL INFORMATION - The tour is on foot, lasts approximately 120 minutes, and takes place regardless of weather conditions. If weather conditions become too disruptive, Héritage Montréal may decide to cancel the tour. - Some tours include stairs or steps. - Please arrive before the departure time: the tour starts on time, and latecomers will not be waited for. - Animals, even on a leash, are not allowed, except for guide dogs or service dogs. Please inform us in advance. - You will receive a confirmation of your registration by email, along with a reminder a few days before the tour.
